How do I disconnect my Zune 80 safely from my PC?

I have a Zune 80 and since I got it, I can’t find a safely remove hardware thing in the Zune software, and it never shows in Windows Explorer or in the taskbar (tray).
So far I’ve been closing the Zune software then disconnecting it. Is this the correct way to to disconnect it? If not, how?

    The safest way would be to simply turn the zune off, power off your pc once both are off you shouldbe able to safetly unhook the Zune assuming you have t attached with a USB cable
    MAKE SORE BOTH ARE OFF don’t place your PC in standby, turn the power off entirely then you can saflety unhook it
